SUNDAY ROCK GIG (SRG) is proudly organized by B.S. Twenty Two Event Management in collaboration with Ensera Timang Jamming & Recording Studio.
The idea behind SUNDAY ROCK GIG (SRG) was born in the middle of 2023. At first, it was nothing more than a simple plan, just random conversations among a few of us who shared the same passion for music. What started as casual talk slowly evolved into a bold vision.
The main purpose of organizing this gig was clear: to create a platform for local underground bands from diverse genres without limiting ourselves to just one sound. We wanted to spotlight fresh, emerging talent and give new bands the opportunity to step onto the stage and be heard.
Music is universal. So why not build something that unites different genres, attracts passionate music lovers, and brings people together under one roof?
Fast forward to 2024, our team successfully organized the very first SUNDAY ROCK GIG Vol. 01, held at 13 Box Karaoke v.2, MJC Batu Kawah on 4th August 2024. Honestly, we never expected the overwhelming support from both the bands and the crowd. We thought our first trial event might fail but instead, it exceeded our expectations.
After the success of Vol. 01, we kept the momentum going with Vol. 02 and continued organizing more editions up until today.
SRG has proudly featured a wide spectrum of genres including post-hardcore, metalcore, alternative rock, thrash metal, pop punk, indie rock, punk rock, modern metal, deathcore, shoegaze, and many more. Diversity is our identity.
A massive shoutout to every band who has shared the stage with us since day one, we truly appreciate your trust and energy. Huge thanks as well to our venue and sponsors such as 13 Box Karaoke v.2, Smoke of Borneo, Remin Bistro, and everyone else who has supported us behind the scenes. To our dedicated crew and everyone involved throughout the years, this journey would not be possible without you.
And of course, to the crowd! Your support, your presence, and even purchasing the tickets mean everything to us. The energy you bring fuels this movement.
